Citywide Citywide Recreation Summer Camp Positions PP&R is currenlty recruiting for Summer Camp Directors, Summer Camp Counselors and Inclusion Assistants. Camp staff positions organize, plan and lead a variety of camp activities including art, craft, music, performance, science, games, nature and sports in addition to supporting the physical, social and cognitive development of preschool and school-aged participants. Positions will be responsible for maintaining discipline and safety while monitoring youth, consistently modeling appropriate behavior, administering basic first aid, maintaining accurate program records, and performing maintenance duties as assigned. Multnomah Arts Center Southwest Instructor Violin Teacher We are now recruiting for a part-time violin teacher at Multnomah Arts Center, a Portland Parks and Recreation facility that offers affordable art classes for all ages and skill levels. Applicants for violin teacher must be comfortable teaching both children and adults in a private lesson setting. Ability to improvise and compose, understanding of music theory and notation, and familiarity with and understanding of both classical music and contemporary chamber music, all highly recommended and should be addressed in résumé. Folk, jazz, bluegrass and other music forms are also highly valued and welcomed and may mitigate some aspects of the previous sentence’s recommendation.
