Charles Jordan Community Center North/Northeast Instructor Afterschool Assistant Charles Jordan Community Center, part of Portland Parks & Recreation, is seeking part-time After School Staff for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year. Requirements for After School Staff 1. Experience working with children ages 5 - 12. 2. Ability to work with families and children from a variety of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, especially in a community center setting. 3. Ability to work some mornings on Teacher Inservice Days. This position is PART-TIME and do not include benefits. Starting wage is $12.80 per hour. Citywide Citywide Recreation Inclusion Assistant

Inclusion Assistants work one-on-one to support PP&R participants in a variety of programs. Due to the nature of the position, staff need to be flexible and able to think on their feet. Inclusion Assistants act as an aide in the overall setting of the program, supporting people on an individual basis that aligns with their needs. Applicants to not need specific experience working in a one-on-one setting. However, we will prioritize those that have experience working with children and people with special needs.

PP&R is hiring a Youth Basketball Official for our Goldenball program. Class room Sessions/Registration and Saturday On Court Trainings begin in October. Ability to learn the skills and rules to be a youth basketball official. Overall game control, customer service, ability to travel to different gym sites, prompt at game times, enjoy working with kids.
